Caring For Your Mind, Body and Soul
Caring For Your Mind, Body and Soul
Do you feel sluggish? Could your spirit use some uplifting?
Begin each day in quiet prayer. Feed your body good food so that it may perform well for you. Pay attention to your spirit and take it away from circumstances and people that slowly take its life.
There is much to be grateful for and even more to celebrate. Care for your mind body and soul that it is healthy enough to recognize goodness when it sees it.

The Grace Of Time
The Grace Of Time
Don’t sit idle in your self-inflicted disheartening thoughts. The sting of the initial punch was enough.
If it hurts don’t do it again. If attacked, forgive. If it kills the spirit breathe new life into something that won’t. If you can’t forgive yourself go to the One who can help you.
Spend your time utilizing the grace you have to live out these acts of love.

The Gift Of Time
We give up valuable time to many mindless things every day of our lives.
Today take priceless time to make better food choices to nourish your body. Today take worthwhile time to physically move a little more than yesterday. Today take constructive time to figure out why you are feeling down, upset, peaceful or delighted.
When you nourish your body, strengthen your joints and muscles, have a better sense of your emotions, the gift of a day has been precious time well spent.

Encouraging The Fickle And Disbelieving
“Are you really going to believe him? What suddenly makes him so credible?”
Is it really impossible to believe a person could turn a new leaf? Is it absurd to think your life could do a complete turn around? Are we so jealous, insecure, judgmental and faithless that we would turn our back on goodness, shun another who has received great blessings from God, and rather cling to evil ways of thinking rather than embracing, supporting and raising the human spirit?
Release old negative attitudes and believe in the good efforts being shown by people. When you feel threatened by goodness allow your spirit to meet hope and transformation or risk living a life in danger. Be not afraid to exhibit your own divine aspirations so that you will know firsthand how best to encourage the fickle and disbelieving.
Mark 6:1-6
Jesus left that place and came to his hometown, and his disciples followed him. On the sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astounded. They said, "Where did this man get all this? What is this wisdom that has been given to him? What deeds of power are being done by his hands! Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?" And they took offence at him. Then Jesus said to them, "Prophets are not without honour, except in their hometown, and among their own kin, and in their own house." And he could do no deed of power there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and cured them. And he was amazed at their unbelief. Then he went about among the villages teaching.

Do Not Fear, Only Believe ~ I Can
Do Not Fear, Only Believe ~ I Can
“What if I can’t lose this weight?” “What if I can’t run the whole mile?” “What if nobody want me around?”
We can make the phrase “what if” a precursor to everything we do, and every time it will invoke a level of fear.
What if you can? Changing our negative attitudes may not be easy, but with positive consciousness and empowering support we are all able to transform.
Some habits may be as easy as saying, “No thank you. I’ll pass on the candy today.” While other negative attitudes have developed over our lifetime and are rooted in our past emotional experiences. Take time to decipher what can be amended by practice and regularity. And then with honestly and confidence take valuable time to seek guidance or counseling to get to the root of why you do what you do.
Today at each meal time, substitute in one healthy food choice in place of one below par. Today set aside time to participate in a simple enjoyable physical activity in place of idleness. Today ask one question about your past that may offer insight and open the door to healing.
One small change can greatly impede our fear. One small step can lesson our anxieties. One poignant question can change an outcome. Do not fear, only believe. I can.

Surrender Your Trust To Love
Surrender Your Trust To Love
Life continues each day of its own volition. We cannot stop it, choke it into being silent, nor hurry the difficult days. We can grow in wisdom or with stubbornness remain blind. Many will sprout into maturity while others will be held back from clinging to foolish ways. When life provides rewards we take them freely, but when life hurts we may easily reject all that is good and surrender our spirit always at a cost.
Chose to live smart through your struggles and enjoy with more intensity the fruits of your days. Life by design has a will of its own not intended to be fully understood by man. Accept the things you cannot change, contribute to transformation using your talents, and pray for wisdom to recognize that love, trust and faith allows one to live and condemnation hinders the heart.

Living With Purpose
Living With Purpose
“What a waste! I slept through the whole movie.” “Well there was certainly no purpose in me being there. I should have just stayed home.” “Why should I bother talking to him? He can’t string three words together that makes sense!”
If you slept away yesterday your body may have needed rest for what lies ahead. If you’ve spent beyond your means today you’ll know what it’s like to not have tomorrow. If you give to an unfortunate lonely stranger you might appreciate what it’s like when someone remembers you when you need it most.
No time is ever wasted, no experience without meaning, no conversation that does not have significance.
Your past experiences have led you to the present. Your former conversations will contribute to today’s discussions and opinions. Yesterday’s trials will touch your spirit and may modify your beliefs.
Today with purpose be present in the moment, bear kindness in your words and deeds, have faith through your trials. What you mindfully observe and caringly participate in today will have a positive lasting effect on your future. Live with purpose.

Be Steadfast In What Stands For Good
If what you desire benefits human dignity, protects human life, and promotes the human spirit, let no one persuade you to do, think or feeling differently. Be steadfast in proclaiming a message that stands for good.

The New Year And You
The New Year And You
“HaPpY NeW yEaR!” At the stroke of midnight on January 1st each year these three words seem to bring hope and renewed excitement to millions of the world’s inhabitants. There are some people who each year reach goals, keep targets, and realize their dreams. But what if our goals, resolutions and dreams don’t last longer than a few months, a few days, or perhaps a few measly hours? How can we make this New Year resolute and meaningful without feeling overwhelmed or seemingly setting ourselves up for failure?
For many of us, the simple and familiar phrase’ “HaPpY NeW yEaR” somehow encompasses a multitude of happy, inspiring and even larger than life feelings. It can make last year’s disappointments seem like a bad dream rather than a terrible memory. Our goals, resolutions and visions for the future can appear simple, boundless and attainable. We may promise to un-clutter ourselves by cleaning out closets, paying off last year’s bills and organizing paperwork. We may make a resolution to lose weight, be nicer or sign up for a class that might improve our work or social skills. Instead of making an overwhelming list of things that may or may not come to pass, this year make a resolution to make each day work for you!
Yesterday’s Mistakes Are Today Rewards
We will all make mistakes that can set us back a few steps. Don’t beat yourself up over spilled milk! Treat yourself daily to a playful portion of yesterday’s biggest bloopers! Talk about it. Laugh at it. Learn from it. Change it! There is no better reward than to overcome a misstep!
Turn A Sour Attitude Into Great Lemonade
No need to dilute a goal or a dream with the first appearance of a bitter moment or a sour attitude. Use the zest of your heart to take out the bitterness in challenging goals, tasks, duties or undertakings. Use the pulp of your spirit to make sweet a vinegary attitude. Add often life giving water and forgiveness to others and to yourself to reduce acidity in your gut and tone of voice. Refer often to your core ingredients and serve up your best year yet!
Goals And A Purposeful You
We can alter our routine to make time more beneficial. We can modify our reading materials to learn new things. Calendar savings dates in lieu of mindless spending sprees. Choose to say “thank you” instead of “nothing.” Opt for one serving instead of two. Ask, “Could you please” instead of bark, “I need.” Forego complaints and instead compliment. A phone call, a surprise visit, a helping hand, a smile, a hug, and a prayer all have a natural way of making us evolve into better beings.
This year should not be about “out with the old and in with the new.” Make this New Year all about being simply “a better you!” “HaPpY NeW yEaR!
